It takes a village…
We know how the age-old saying goes, it takes a village to raise children, yet it’s often difficult to build connection, community and shared responsibility in such a fast-paced, ever-changing world. That’s why the focus of New Leaf Education is equipping parents and educators with the tools, strategies and resources they need to work in perfect harmony together – getting the best out of themselves, so they can get the best out of their children.
Whether you’re looking for online parent coaching, parent development workshops or support choosing a school in Bahrain, New Leaf Education can help. Through independent consulting and coaching services and an intentional, client-centred approach, you’re given the tools and support you need to move your family forward.
Meet the founder …
Nicky Visagie
Hi, I’m Nicky, former international teacher and New Leaf’s educational consultant.
Having spent 10+ years in schools across Bahrain and the UK, and almost 20 years working with children and families in other roles, I qualified as an executive and life coach in 2022. After giving birth to my daughter in 2023, I was opened up to a whole new dimension as a mother, and decided to turn my attention to supporting parents.
I’ve spent the last eight years in Bahrain working side-by-side with world-class colleagues, leaders and institutions, and have successfully navigated the educational landscape by building relationships, creating innovative, purposeful environments for children to thrive, and staying up-to-date with developments in the region.
As the child of divorced parents, mom to a whirlwind toddler and step-mom to two teenagers, fostering healthy family dynamics is a huge part of my life, and I understand the joys, challenges and pressures of both raising and teaching children. New Leaf Education is my response to the needs of parents I’ve met in Bahrain and beyond; clear communication, creative collaboration and a supportive community with a single focus – empowering parents to make the best decisions for their families.
